South-South Cooperation

In the spirit of south-south solidarity, this South African Columbian has agreed to contribute to little miss sunshine's Oz blog. I'm sure I'll come up with something more clever as time goes on, but for now all I know is that it's freezing in NYC, and I'm sunburned here. Also, I saw a sign on campus that said "you can't prevent AIDs with beetroot and cabbage" which has subsequently forced me to rethink my entire social life here. (For those readers who are are either (a) over 30, or (b) a future employer, I would like to point out that the previous sentence is what is known as a Joke).
